Keeping cool

We headed to Des Moines for a quick visit to see Papas and Nanas. We kept cool by playing in water buckets and the sprinkler. I love how Papa and Nana are in the background of this picture. Violet took her first trip to the Adel Sweet Corn Festival and had fun watching her first parade, eating yummy corn, and trying her first ice cream cone. Life sure is fun when it is full of firsts!
