Caribbean 2/19 and 2/20

We got up early Monday morning to take a 4 hour bus ride to Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica with Tom and Laura. We stayed the night in a little bungalow a few steps from the beach. The waves were crazier than they were on the Pacific side and we saw a number of surfers out. We rented bikes and rode to a cove where the waves were calm enough to swim in and try out some body surfing. The cove was made by a thin peninsula jutting out into the water. At the end of the peninsula, the waves had worn out a tunnel. We decided to hike out to the tunnel and check it out. Andrew managed to fall in. Andrew is pretty clumsy.
